The motion
That this House welcomes the report of the United Nations Secretary General's Study on Violence against Children, which has the core message that no violence against children is justifiable and all violence against children is preventable; and further welcomes the clear call for all countries to satisfy human rights obligations by prohibiting all forms of violence against children, including physical punishment, in the family, at school and in other settings by 2009.
