HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS JOB CUTS IN SOUTH DEVON

That this House is disapponted by the recent announcement from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) concerning the rationalisation of work which will result in over 100 Civil Service jobs leaving the low pay and largely seasonal economy of South Devon; is concerned by the way the announcement was communicated to staff and their union representatives; calls on the Government to reverse the decision to centralise work; and agrees with the Public and Commercial Services Union that if further job losses occur, it will render HMRC unfit for purpose.
