Tabled by Viscount Hailsham (Conservative)

The motion
That this House notes the growing public concern at the contents of the regulations which the Government proposes to lay under the provisions of the Equality Act 2006; further notes that the provisions will be set out in a statutory instrument which is not capable of amendment; and believes that before the regulations are formally laid they should be tabled in draft and debated on the floor of the House so the hon. and right hon. Members can have the opportunity to express views on what the Government proposes before the regulations are tabled in their final form.
