ARMED FORCES IN SCHOOLS

That this House condemns the intemperate and inaccurate remarks of the Plaid Cymru Welsh Assembly Member Leanne Wood, who has called for British Army recruitment activities to be banned from Welsh schools; notes that the Army only visits schools at the express invitation of the school concerned; further notes that many young men and women in Wales are rightly immensely proud of their career in the armed forces; believes that a proper understanding of the role and work of the armed forces is an essential part of any young person's education; and congratulates the armed forces' presentation teams on their work with young people across Wales.
