1992 NATIONAL AUDIT OFFICE REPORT RELATING TO AL YAMAMAH SALES

That this House notes with concern the continuing refusal of the Government to make public the 1992 National Audit Office Report into the role of the Ministry of Defence in the Al Yamamah sales; further notes with concern that this report was never made available to hon. Members for scrutiny; is concerned about the Government's refusal to deliver copies of the report to the Serious Fraud Office in relation to their investigations; notes the publication and subsequent retrieval of documents in the National Archives relating to the Al Yamamah sales, showing an unexplained increase in the price paid for each Tornado jet by the Saudi Arabian government, equal to an amount that was alleged to have been paid in commission on the Al Yamamah deals; and calls on the Government now to make public the 1992 National Audit Office report.
