The motion
That this House is gravely concerned about reports of extra-judicial killings and disappearances that have occurred in Sri Lanka; deeply regrets the failure of the recent Geneva peace conference; is further concerned about the welfare and safety of the Tamil people in North Eastern Sri Lanka; and calls on the Government to assist the United Nations and Sri Lankan government in any way possible with the establishment of an appropriate investigation into these matters and the reaching of a peace settlement.
