The motion
That this House supports the vital role that independent advice agencies like the Citizens Advice Bureau service play in the delivery of many essential public services and objectives; believes that the delivery of independent advice and casework services, including representation when and where necessary for those unable to represent themselves, is central to the delivery of many core public services across England and Wales; acknowledges that independent advice contributes to combating social exclusion, heightening social cohesion and ensuring that people obtain their rights; and believes that Government in partnership with local government should develop mechanisms for ensuring that there is sufficient spending allocation to provide adequate levels of advice services and equity of access across England and Wales.
