TRANSPORT AND GENERAL WORKERS' UNION CABIN CREW STAFF AND BRITISH AIRWAYS

That this House notes that 96 per cent. of BA cabin crew staff have voted for industrial action on an 80 per cent. turnout; recognises the long-standing grievances of the staff in relation to sickness absence policy, working conditions and pay; and therefore calls on the management of BA to respond positively to Transport and General Workers' Union members' concerns, and to resolve this dispute through negotiated settlement to avoid industrial action and the consequential detrimental effects on staff and the travelling public.
