NATIONAL CENTRE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THE NORTH EAST

That this House welcomes the launch of the National Centre for Domestic Violence in the North East, which will give access to immediate help for abused people, including legal advice from one telephone number; congratulates Northumbria Police for backing the scheme and launching their End the Silence campaign; and also praises the work done by Wearside Women in Need over many years for victims of domestic abuse.
