AIR SERVICES BETWEEN NEWCASTLE AND DUBAI

That this House warmly welcomes the announcement of a daily non-stop flight between Newcastle and Dubai commencing in September 2007; understands the significance of this new service in creating jobs and investment opportunities in the North East; recognises that this means the people of the North East will have direct access to one of the most popular tourist destinations and emerging markets in the Middle East; and congratulates the staff of Emirates Airline and Newcastle International Airport who have made this new service a reality.
