CANCELLATION OF HOLE IN THE HEART OPERATION

That this House believes that it is appalling that Ms Morris of Leicester East has had to endure four cancellations by Glenfield Hospital of her two year old daughter's hole in the heart operation; believes that it is incredibly unfair on the child and family to cancel an operation half an hour before it is set to take place; notes the fact that an operation to rectify this condition has still not taken place despite the recommendation made during the original diagnosis that it should have happened before the onset of winter; and calls upon the relevant health authorities to ensure that the operation now goes ahead on schedule and investigate fully the reasons why this situation has occurred.
