FIRECONTROL PROJECT

That this House is concerned about the serious financial and service implications for both central and local government and for the Fire Service of the Department for Communities and Local Government's (DCLG) FireControl Project; notes that the recent independent and objective report prepared by consultants from the Institute of Public Finance recommended that more work is needed before any major decisions are made and expressed concerns about the validity of the business case and the costs; and therefore calls for an urgent full and independent assessment of the DCLG's final business case for the FireControl Project before any major decisions are made.
