CLEAN ENERGY INVESTMENT

That this House believes that a policy of diversified energy sources is essential for maintaining the security and supply of the UK's energy; and believes it essential that the Government should immediately invest in new clean coal technology systems for all present and future UK coal fire power stations, together with showing fiscal leadership by supporting mechanisms designed to capture and store carbon emissions to levels sufficient to meet the relevant environmental targets.
