RIBBLE VALLEY RADIO

That this House praises the community radio station Ribble Valley Radio, which broadcasts at www.ribblevalleyradio.org.uk and was established in 2004; notes the report by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on Community Radio; believes that Ribble Valley Radio provides a vital service to the local community and hopes that future attempts to secure a broadcasting licence will be successful; and further believes that Community Radio is a vital community asset and that the Government should do more to provide resources and support to ensure that community radio stations, such as Ribble Valley Radio, continue to go from strength to strength.
