The motion

That this House notes with concern the slaughtering of dolphins in Japan; expresses concern for the tradition of the annual cull near the southern port of Taiji for dolphin meat to be supplied to restaurants, supermarkets or for pet food; further notes with concern the sale of those kept alive to be sold to marine parks and aquariums; and calls on the Government to redress this issue by working with other governments to protect dolphins and put an end to the unnecessary cruelty which currently takes place.
