ITV AND PREMIUM RATE INTERACTIVE SERVICES

The motion
That this House welcomes the announcement by ITV that all premium rate interactive services will be suspended pending review; notes with concern that other channels have yet to conduct reviews of their own premium rate interactive services; recognises that viewers are entitled to have absolute confidence in interactive services; urges those channels that have not reviewed these services to follow the example of ITV; and calls on broadcasters to reimburse any viewers for all instances of malpractice.
