WELSH UNIVERSITIES' RESEARCH AND ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP

That this House applauds the establishment of the new Research and Enterprise Partnership by the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and the University of Wales, Bangor, which significantly enhances the United Kingdom's research and development capabilities in respect of the urgent ecological challenges posed by climate change, and also the challenges of biotechnology and space science; and calls on the Government to help maintain the United Kingdom's position as a world leader in science, technology and culture by supporting the work of the Research and Enterprise Partnership at Aberystwyth and Bangor.
