EAST COAST RAIL FORUM

That this House notes that the Inter City East Coast franchise has been handed back to the Government by GNER; further notes that a decision is expected during the summer on a new operator for the franchise; recognises the concerns being expressed by hon. Members regarding the future provision of services on this line; and therefore welcomes and supports the aims of the East Coast Rail Forum to influence and improve the bids of all operators for the franchise and ensure that the views of community and regional groups and other users along this line are heard.
