INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY'S APOLOGY AND CANNABIS RECLASSIFICATION

That this House welcomes the apology by the Independent on Sunday concerning its campaign to decriminalise cannabis; notes the record numbers of teenagers that are requiring drug treatment due to their use of cannabis; further notes that the current strain of cannabis is 25 times stronger than a decade ago; and calls on the Government to reclassify cannabis as a Class B drug.
