CYCLING AND TRAINS

The motion
That this House notes that 60 per cent. of people live within a 15 minute cycle ride of a train station and would directly benefit from improved cycle access to rail services improving both their health, reducing congestion and saving carbon emissions by cycling; and therefore calls upon the Government in its forthcoming Transport White Paper to give priority to better facilities for cyclists wishing to use train services.
