The motion
That this House notes the pension reforms being considered by the Government and welcomes the suggestion that women retiring after 6th April 2010 will only have to have paid National Insurance contributions for 30 years in order to receive a full state pension; but believes that it would be unfair on women who retire before that date and who have paid over 30 years' contributions, but not the currently required 39 years' contributions, to be discriminated against; and calls upon the Government to ensure that any proposals which they bring forward should apply to all women who have paid National Insurance contributions for 30 years or more.
