FOSTER CARE FORTNIGHT 2007

That this House notes that Foster Care Fortnight 2007 will run from 14th to 27th May; praises the exceptional work done by this country's 37,000 foster carers; thanks these foster carers for the positive impact that their guardianship has on the children and young people who live with them; congratulates the Fostering Network for co-ordinating Foster Care Fortnight and creating a film entitled The Faces of Foster Care, which as an engaging and honest portrayal of the lives of foster carers is a perfect resource to show to anyone who is thinking about fostering; and shows its deep appreciation for the crucial support foster carers give the 50,000 children who live with them.
