The motion
That this House thanks the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Health for their support of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, which has led to the announcement on 9th May of the first million pound private donation towards finding a cure for this deadly illness; notes that motor neurone disease costs the British taxpayer £241 million a year in care alone; and asks the Government to match the £7.5 million the MND Association itself is raising to find a cure for one of the world's cruellest terminal diseases.
