That this House congratulates the Chairman, Manager, players and supporters of Sunderland AFC on promotion to the Premiership; recognises the positive effects this will have on the City of Sunderland and the region in terms of economic regeneration, promotion of tourism into the area and increased optimism in commerce and industry; and looks forward to a successful season in 2007-08.
