NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR CHILDREN OF ALCOHOLICS

That this House congratulates the Bristol-based National Association for Children of Alcoholics on receiving the Guardian Charity Award for 2006 in recognition of the work carried out by the charity over a period of 15 years in helping some of the estimated 900,000 children in the UK living with one or both parents with a drink problem; applauds the efforts of the many volunteers past and present who have contributed their time and expertise, thereby enabling such a small charity to reach so many people; and commends the efforts of the staff of the charity in achieving such success.
