50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROMFORD DRUM AND TRUMPET CORPS

That this House congratulates the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps in this its 50th anniversary year; commends the band on its magnificent achievements over the past five decades, particularly on its success at the European Championships held in Bath last year, where the band won four gold medals; recognises the excellent opportunities the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps has provided for the community and especially the young people of Romford and Havering through the medium of marching music in the last 50 years; and wishes it continued success for the 50th anniversary tattoo on Saturday 26th May in celebration of its Golden Jubilee year.
