CHORLTON POST OFFICE

That this House notes with concern that Chorlton Post Office has remained closed until further notice following refurbishment; recalls that Post Office Ltd made assurances that the franchising of Chorlton Post Office would not result in any loss of service; further notes that the franchising of Chorlton Post Office was agreed against the wishes of local people and without consultation; and believes that the continuity of service would have been retained if Chorlton Post Office had remained as a Crown Post Office.
