The motion

That this House welcomes the British Lung Foundation's Breathe Easy Week from 11th to 17th June 2007, which aims to highlight the UK's poor record on lung disease; regrets that death rates from lung disease in the UK are twice the European average; recognises that earlier diagnosis and improved treatment and care will both help those affected live longer healthier lives and reduce the burden on the NHS; welcomes the British Lung Foundation Charter, which sets out 12 priorities for improving lung health in the UK; calls on hon. Members to Blow the Whistle on lung disease in their constituencies; and calls on the Government to work with the British Lung Foundation to take action on the points in the Charter.
