DEPICTION OF MANCHESTER CATHEDRAL IN A VIOLENT VIDEO GAME

That this House deplores the realistic depictions of the interior of Manchester Cathedral in a violent video game produced by Sony; notes that Sony had not obtained permission for the depiction of the Cathedral; further notes the offence caused to the Christian worshippers and the people of Manchester; supports the comments of the Prime Minister that game companies should recognise their wider social responsibilities to the community; and urges Sony to withdraw this game and offer some form of compensation to Church charities.
