ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS

That this House welcomes the decision of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence outlined by the recent Appraisal Consultation Document for Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS); agrees that this is a positive decision supporting the most cost-effective treatment that will add quality to the lives of AS patients; and further agrees that these anti-tumour necrosis factors will allow patients to take control of their treatment at home and supports this guidance in enabling parity of access to innovative interventions in the treatment of AS in a modern NHS.
