WINDFALL TAX ON THE ARMAMENTS INDUSTRY

Tabled by Sir Bob Russell (Liberal Democrat) 25 signatures

The motion

That this House notes that the armaments industry is making huge profits as a result of Britain's military engagements in Afghanistan and Iraq; and therefore calls on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to introduce a windfall tax on manufacturers who are benefiting from these conflicts to fund enhanced compensation payments for members of HM Armed Forces, and to donate funds to charities engaged in assisting serving and former members of HM Armed Forces and their families.
