PROJECT UMUBANO AND THE RIGHT HON MEMBER FOR WITNEY

Tabled by Sir Peter Bottomley (Conservative) 1 signatures

The motion

That this House welcomes the co-operation of Rwanda's President Paul Kagame and his people with the successful Project Umubano; recognises the friendship and partnership during the 20 development projects; and notes with interest the reports by the hon. Member for Sutton Coldfield, the speeches by the right hon. Member for Witney to the Rwandan Parliament on 24th July and by the Rwandan President in Blackpool on 2nd October agreeing with his statement that `Mr Cameron's decision to visit Rwanda when his own constituency was experiencing devastating floods was most touching. As a true leader who understands that we live in an interdependent world, he chose to continue the mission.'.
