150th ANNIVERSARY OF OLD TRAFFORD CRICKET GROUND

The motion
That this House celebrates the 150th anniversary of Old Trafford Cricket Ground; notes that the pavilion was built in 1857 at the newly opened ground of Manchester Cricket Club; recognises that this went on to become the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club during which time the club has won many honours including eight county championship titles, four joint county championship titles and numerous one day tournaments including four Gillette Cup victories, four Benson and Hedges Cup titles and three NatWest Cup victories; and looks forward to a long and happy future at Old Trafford for Lancashire County Cricket Club with more successes, most notably a county championship title which the team came so close to capturing in the 2007 season.
