DYSLEXIA AWARENESS WEEK CAMPAIGN

The motion

That this House notes National Dyslexia Awareness Week, 5th to 11th November, and supports Xtraordinary People's No to Failure initiative launched in association with the British Dyslexia Association, The Professional Association of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia Action, which aims to raise awareness of dyslexia and deliver funding to support specially trained dyslexia teachers in schools; pays tribute to the principles of the Every Child Matters campaign; recognises that specialist dyslexia tuition can improve a dyslexic child's reading age by two years for only £600; and calls on Government to work with local authorities in England and Wales to improve educational support for dyslexic children.
