The motion
That this House notes that women working full-time earn on average 17 per cent. less an hour than men working full-time; further notes that women working part-time earn on average 36 per cent. less than men working part-time; is concerned that the UK has the largest pay gap of the 27 European Union countries; believes it is necessary to simplify and strengthen the law so that equal pay cases are easier to take; and further believes that there should be provision for mandatory equality pay audits.
