HUMAN RIGHTS IN PRIVATELY RUN CARE HOMES
Tabled by Sir Alan Meale (Labour)

The motion
That this House is concerned about the recent judgement of the House of Lords regarding the human rights of residents of privately-run care homes in the UK; believes that whilst it was never the intention of either the British Government nor European legislation that any care home resident should suffer in this way, the fact is that they have; and calls upon the Government immediately to bring forward legislative proposals to correct this serious and unfair anomaly forthwith.
