The motion

That this House recognises that the South Pennines is a landscape of national importance for its wildlife, its industrial heritage and for the benefit it brings to the wellbeing of those living in it and within the three city regions that surround it; notes that it is a cross regional asset of immeasurable importance under continuous pressure; and acknowledges the essential role of Pennine Prospects in facilitating joint working across the two regions to protect, enhance and raise the profile of this vital, upland landscape.
