The motion
That this House welcomes the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement that took place on 27th January 1973 which led to the ending of the war between the United States and its allies and Vietnam; notes however that the US commitment to contribute to healing the wounds of war and to postwar reconstruction of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and throughout Indochina, Chapter VIII, Article 21, is one of a number of agreements outstanding; further notes that over three million Vietnamese suffer from the effects of the chemical Agent Orange used by US forces in that war; and urges the US Administration now to honour this agreement.
