NISSAN MOTORS

The motion

That this House welcomes the announcement by Nissan Motors of the creation of 800 new jobs in Washington, Tyne and Wear due to the success of the award winning Qashqui model; recognises that in addition to the 800 new jobs at the plant hundreds of additional jobs will be created within the regional supply chain; and pays tribute to the workforce for being Europe's most productive car plant and the UK's biggest car exporter.
