MARCONI PENSION FUND

That this House expresses strong concern that the Pension Corporation has acquired the sponsor of the Marconi Pension Fund; notes that there is understandable fear on the part of the Marconi pensioners that the scheme's surplus could be appropriated by the sponsor; and calls on the Government to take action to protect the fund from being exploited in this manner.
