NATIONWIDE COMMUNITY AND HERITAGE AWARDS 2008

That this House welcomes the launch of the Nationwide Community and Heritage Awards 2008 on 20th February by the Nationwide Building Society and the Heritage Lottery Fund; recognises the importance of the Awards in celebrating the contribution of those undertaking valuable voluntary community or heritage work across the UK; notes that winners will be chosen from across 12 regions and countries in three different categories - young people, adults and groups; and further notes that 18 of these winners will be announced as national finalists later in 2008, culminating in a national celebration of volunteering in November.
