The motion
That this House notes with very great concern the growing numbers of young people carrying knives and the increase in the number of stabbing victims; commends Merseyside Police's zero tolerance of knife possession; calls on the courts to end lenient sentences for knife crime; and believes that the Government should take urgent action to increase prison capacity.
