The motion
That this House congratulates Gary Tuddenham for winning the gold medal for cabinet making at the 2007 World Skills Competition in Japan; recognises that this achievement highlights the UK's long history of traditional craftsmanship; notes that the UK is still a world leader in developing these important craft skills for cabinet making; and acknowledges the importance and value of traditional upholstery and soft furnishing skills and the contribution to the economy of the furniture industry in the UK.
