ORGAN DONATION (No. 2)

That this House welcomes the recommendations of the Organ Donation Taskforce and that the Government has accepted all 14 proposals; notes that recommendation 13 states `There is an urgent requirement to identify and implement the most effective methods through which organ donation and the gift of life can be promoted to the general public and specifically to the BME population' and calls for more research to be commissioned; further notes that a range of voluntary groups exist who publicise organ donation and who therefore have useful data and information; and calls on the Department of Health to work with such groups both on the research and the implementation of findings.
