The motion
That this House notes with concern the Royal British Legion's consultation on the future of Crosfield House in Rhayader; further notes that Crosfield House cares for 60 residents in a nursing home, residential and elderly mentally infirm context; is concerned that the consultation document is partial and biased towards a closure; is further concerned that the consultation period is too limited to allow all possible interested parties to put forward fully costed proposals which would allow continued provision of this service; and calls upon the Royal British Legion to extend the consultation period and to engage fully in a positive manner with Powys County Council to explore all avenues which would guarantee the future of this highly regarded and most valued facility for ex-servicemen and other Powys residents.
