PAUL INCE AND BLACKBURN ROVERS

That this House congratulates Paul Ince upon his appointment as manager of Blackburn Rovers Football Club; recognises the historic significance of the appointment of the first British black manager of a Premiership football team; commends the decision of John Williams and Blackburn Rovers; believes that this appointment is a clear sign of the commendable multiculturalism within the Football Association; and hopes that this appointment will provide inspiration to the Premier League's numerous other talented black players and will indicate to club chairmen across top flight leagues that they too should look closely at up and coming ethnic minority managerial talent.
