FUTURE OF THE POST OFFICE

That this House notes with concern press reports that the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform may be considering part-privatisation of the Post Office; believes that this goes against past Government assurances; considers that this would undermine the Post Office as a public service; and calls upon the Government to reject this proposal.
