INTEREST RATE LEVELS

The motion

That this House encourages the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England to introduce a cut in interest rates to help with the economic depression; expresses concern that the benefits of previous cuts have not been passed on to consumers; and urges all banks and financial institutions to pass on all future benefits to help ordinary people cope with the current financial situation.
