OBAMA'S GREEN NEW DEAL

The motion

That this House congratulates Barack Obama on his historic victory in the US presidential election; welcomes, in particular, his proposals for a Green New Deal, investing $150 billion and delivering five million jobs in turning the US into a sustainable energy economy; and calls upon the Government to initiate a similar programme in the UK.
