PROPOSED CLOSURE OF TETLEY BREWERY, LEEDS

That this House condemns the decision by Carlsberg Tetley to close the historic Tetley Brewery in Leeds that employs 170 staff; welcomes the Yorkshire Evening Post's campaign to persuade Carlsberg to keep Tetley's as a locally brewed brand; and calls on everyone who wishes to retain a beer that has been brewed in the city since 1822 to back the campaign.
